SmartPay enhances EBPP system with discounting feature

SmartPay is excited to announce the addition of a discounting feature to their electronic bill presentment and payment system. The feature allows companies to add incentives to customers that pay their bills in a timely manner.

With the addition of the discounting feature, businesses can easily offer discounting incentives like 2/10 Net 30. This means customers are awarded a 2% discount if they pay their invoice within 10 days, otherwise they must pay the full amount within 30 days.

Direct Insite strikes US$1 million deal with building materials company

Direct Insite, a provider of cloud-based e-invoicing solutions for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payments automation, announced that it has deployed its Invoices On-Line (IOL) suite of AP automation processing capabilities in the shared services environment of the world’s largest building materials company.

The three-year deal is valued at more than $1 million USD. Additionally, Direct Insite is enabling more than 100,000 new suppliers on its network.

Fiserv introduces new feature in their payment suite

Fiserv, Inc., a provider of financial services technology solutions, announced the launch of E-bill Introduction, a new feature within the CheckFree® RXP® payment suite. E-bill Introduction offers consumers an opportunity to receive electronic bills (e-bills) via their online banking service for an introductory period during which they also continue to receive paper bills in the mail.

Striata helps Western Union to go mobile

The Western Union Company, a global payment services company, today announced the release of an enhancement to its Western Union® Speedpay® service designed to help billers meet growing consumer demand to receive electronic bills through smartphones and mobile devices. The enhancement also allows consumers to pay their bills directly from their mobile devices with just one click.

The enhancement was developed with eBill presentment specialist Striata, and operates across multiple platforms and devices, including Android™, Blackberry®, iPhone®, iPad®.

21 and a half hours of work saved per month

Bill4Time conducted a survey in May 2012 to see how its web-based time billing software improves efficiency among small business Bill4Time users. Bill4Time’s marketing team collected 344 online surveys from current users via SurveyMonkey.

The responses were overwhelmingly positive, with users reporting an average of 21.5 hours of work per month saved thanks to Bill4Time. In addition, 75.6% of users stated that Bill4Time was cutting costs for their business since they no longer needed to spend money on servers, new software versions or additional administrative/bookkeeping staff.

Synchronising with SmartPay eliminates SagePro’s duplicate data entry

Onsharp is developing integration that allows SagePro to synchronise data with their electronic billing system, SmartPay. This integration allows users of SagePro to bill their customers electronically and collect payments online by credit card and ACH, all while eliminating duplicate data entry, increasing customer service, and creating better cash flow.

The two systems are able to communicate with each other and eliminate the need for transactions to be keyed into both systems simultaneously. Customer data, invoice data, and payment records are all kept in sync between SmartPay and SagePro.
