hindernis Connecting suppliers biggest obstacle to uptake of e invoicing

Here’s a difficult question for you: how do you ensure that as many of your customers as possible join in with your decision to move to e-invoicing? Recent Certipost research among 40.000 Belgian companies reveals that as many as 57% see this question as a major stumbling block. The management of both electronic and paper documents within the companies is also considered a challenge.

A second hurdle to take

In addition to the connection of suppliers, the management of both paper and electronic documents is a problem. 45% of respondents have difficulty with this. Sure, it’s unrealistic to think that you will have a paperless office in just one step when starting a project on electronic communications. This does not mean that there are no ways to bring you closer to a paperless office.

Certipost offers help

Companies can knock on Certipost’s door for help with both “barriers”. Connecting business paartner is one of the pillars of the company. Their service managers have a valuable advisory role, thanks to years of experience. Certipost also helps with the management of both paper and electronic invoices. For outgoing invoices Certipost ensures that the recipients receive the invoices as they want, on paper or electronically. Scan & Capture is the solution for incoming invoices.

  1. That’s a fantastic point. We see that as a barrier to E-Invoicing and unless you are an 800 lb gorilla in your particular vertical, mandating adoption among your suppliers is more an exercise in futility.
That being said, a well executed accounts payable system that deploys centralized or distributed scanning capability, intelligent capture to invoices, QC, electronic workflow, applies business rules, and releases data to an erp is extremely easy to get vendors to sign on to… It’s as simple as changing the ‘Remit address’ to wherever you’re centralizing the scan activity.
