Global e-invoicing, what are the requirements in your country?

Every now and then we receive an e-mail from Trustweaver. Trustweaver’s website states that they provide on-demand solutions  for e-signatures, timestamping, archiving and invoice content. This time the e-mail contained a whopping 107 page white paper called ‘Tax-compliant global electronic invoice life-cycle management”.

Global electronic invoice compliance

Imagine your organisation to deliver services or sandwiches all over the world and afterwards send your beloved e-invoices to all your international clients. The main question then becomes: how can you be 100% certain that your e-invoices comply with the fiscal and trade law requirement in your country and that of your clients?

Absolute certainty in e-invoicing compliance?

You can’t. Because 100% certainty doesn’t exist. However services like those of Trustweaver can get close to absolute levels of certainty. And maybe it is good to know that Trustweaver powers quite a few Billing Service Providers that provide cross border electronic invoicing and purchase to pay automation.

E-invoicing requirements in your country?

Now you could dig through Trustweaver’s entire whitepaper. Like we did. But you could also skip the first 62 pages and go directly to page 63 onwards of the Annex, called the ‘country status overview’. To us that was the best part. It contains a list of 59 countries and the way they treat electronic invoicing. With nifty slider images.
