OB10 Wins 2010 Green Supply Chain Award for Leading Publication

November 18, 2010  |  Electronic Invoicing

Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine has awarded OB10, the world’s leading e-Invoicing network, with the 2010 Green Supply Chain Award, which recognizes companies that are making green or sustainability a core part of their business strategy. OB10 serves many of the world’s most recognizable brands and 92,000 active suppliers and helps them rid paper from their invoicing processes.

To date, OB10 has saved companies that have transitioned to its electronic invoicing network more than 60 million sheets of paper as well as additional resources that go into the manufacturing and distribution of paper such as trees, oil, electricity and water. Earlier this year, OB10 also launched its own environmental program, titled the OB10 Green Program, to recognize its corporate and supplier customers who are taking significant steps to eliminate paper from their back-office accounts payable processes.

“For 10 years, we have strived to help global corporations and their suppliers make a smooth transition to e-Invoicing as a way to streamline their accounts payable processes, improve visibility into their cash management, and enhance their sustainability efforts,” said Peter Watson, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for OB10. “This award recognizes our efforts, but also demonstrates the level of commitment our customers have to reducing their environmental footprint and incorporating corporate citizenship into their overall business strategy.”

Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine’s 2010 Green Supply Chain Award winners were featured in the publication’s December/January issue.
