U.S. Government Research Institution Selects Kofax

Kofax, a major provider of capture enabled business process management (BPM) solutions, was selected by U.S. government research institution to provide an invoice processing solution.

The customer is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science for national security purposes. Does this ring a bell? DARPA?

  • The research institute receives 70,000 invoices annually.
  • The Kofax solution enables the institute to route data from each invoice to its Oracle EBS application.
  • Employees can easily access the invoice data, resulting in improved efficiency in invoice receipt, approval and payment.
  • an integrated end-to-end solution that provides customers with increased processing speeds, improved control and real time performance management.

PwC sent its first electronic invoice to the European Commission via e-PRIOR

PwC say that they are the first to use the e-Invoicing module of the e-PRIOR Supplier Portal. The first in Belgium  that is. Why? Because the first e-invoice sent on 26 Februari 2010 to the European Commission by a supplier. The only difference is that PWC used the new web portal module.

Some facts about the e-PRIOR platform

Here are some facts about the e-PRIOR platform:

  • Established by DIGIT, the Directorate General for Informatics of the European Commission,
  • operational since 2009,
  • allows economic operators – or their service providers – to send invoices electronically through the exchange of structured XML messages.
  • targets economic operators with a large number of invoices,
  • as from now on, also companies with a limited number of invoices can easily send electronic invoices via the e-PRIOR Supplier Portal.
