How e-mail and online billing made US Postal financially unsustainable [disruptive]

Twelve years ago, 2001 marked the all-time peak in first-class mail volume. At the time, U.S. mail volume was greater than ever, but there was concern that the online revolution might reverse that trend quite soon. But Susan Brennan, te U.S. Postal spokeswoman at the time, however didn’t buy it. She gave a quote to Wired magazine back in 2001: “The Postal Service is, and always has been, one of the most high-tech companies in the world,” However, Wired Magazine wasn’t convinced. In the article Wired asked: "But what about e-mail? If people write fewer letters, won't that hurt the bottom line even more?" and Brennan said: "E-mail is not a threat." After this testament of denial, E-mail and online billing lead US Postal to an existential crisis.

Everything you need to know about the mandatory Mexican CFDI e-Invoicing in 2014! [Whitepaper]

August 6, 2013  |  Electronic Invoicing, North America

As of 1 January next year, the CFDI will be the mandatory schema for electronic billing in Mexico. This new system will mean the total disappearance of the previous electronic billing model, CFD, the scheme with which hundreds of Mexican companies still operate. Moreover, this modification increases the number of taxpayers that will have to use electronic invoicing.
Unlike with the CFD, it will no longer be necessary to request the folio and serial number of each invoice, or declare the receipts to the SAT, as the Authorized Certification Provider will be responsible for these tasks.
If you would like to know more about the changes involved in the CFDI, and the steps to follow to migrate to the new electronic billing scheme, simply download this White Paper.

As discussed before, Fast Track is a low-cost, low-risk tool with lightning-fast supplier on-boarding results and complete transparency. Fast Track is specifically designed to build up to full rollout. Most e-invoicing companies on-board less than 10-15% of suppliers and that’s unacceptable. Tradeshift has recently on-boarded 94% of suppliers at 80% of the volume in less than four months.
