UK’s information economy strategy promotes e-invoicing

In its strategy document, the UK Central Government say it aims to use electronic invoicing for all transactions. The UK Government will not mandate suppliers at this stage, but will look at ways to spread best practice, and will track progress with a view to taking action if required at a later date.
For UK businesses, particularly small and medium sized enterprises, to realise the full benefits of e-invoicing, the systems should be easy to install and use, and pricing is flexible enough to suit the needs of diverse businesses. Some UK E-invoicing providers have committed to looking at ways to improve interoperability and accessibility of e-invoicing for SMEs, through the Business Application Software Developers Association interoperability charter.

GXS and KMD bring B2B managed services to Denmark

GXS and KMD today announced a partnership to make GXS Managed Services available in the Nordic Countries. Through the partnership, KMD will offer GXS Managed Services, a comprehensive outsourced B2B integration solution to enable companies in the Nordic Countries to replace aging in-house B2B gateway software with a cloud-based integration offering.
More specifically, GXS Managed Services will enable KMD’s customers to build and grow B2B networks without making additional investment in hardware, software or human resources. Increasing the ROI from their efforts to connect electronically with their customers, suppliers, banks, transportation carriers and other business partners.

DHL makes Tradeshift its preferred global platform

DHL has selected Tradeshift as its preferred solution for working with suppliers. The first phase of the project will see DHL Global Business Services (GBS), the internal DHL services division, rolling out e-invoicing across its European suppliers, connecting with them electronically to save time and money.
DHL joins global enterprises such as MITIE, DSM and Vestas Wind Systems, who work with tens of thousands of suppliers and are looking for a better way to manage core business interactions. Tradeshift is different because it provides free accounts to all those suppliers, resulting in much higher adoption levels than other providers — and therefore providing the ROI these enterprises need.

OB10 and Anachron sign first contract based on EESPA’s MIA
