banking technology awards RBS shortlisted for Best Use of IT in Wholesale/Transaction Banking

RBS has been short-listed for the ‘Best Use of IT in Wholesale/Transaction Banking’ at the Banking Technology Awards 2012 with its combined e-Invoicing and Supply Chain Finance solution. This recognition among the top banks and providers in such a competitive awards scheme is the result of successful implementations and hard benefits being realised by the Banks’ customers.

Background

Until recently, e-invoicing has only been available from third-party IT specialists focusing only on automation and removal of paper processing.  However, RBS saw an opportunity to provide extra client value by being the first among banks to incorporate e-invoicing with the SCF process – offering a wealth of advantages for both buyers and suppliers.

Recognition by banking industry

The overall winner in the category will not be revealed until the ceremony in December - RBS are delighted that an e-Invoicing led initiative has been recognised by the banking industry in such a competitive awards scheme.
