TrustWeaver adds service for e-invoice compliance in Argentina

TrustWeaver, the Sweden-based provider of cloud-based compliance services for electronic invoices and other critical e-documents, announced support for the tax-compliant receipt of electronic supplier invoices under the laws of Argentina.

With this further enhancement of TrustWeaver’s service portfolio, the total number of countries supported by TrustWeaver’s single Cloud-based compliance platform is 58. As always, TrustWeaver assumes contractual responsibility for compliance, even as laws and interpretations evolve over time.

Suppliers of goods and services in Argentina must get their electronic invoices (in Argentina called Factura electrónica) pre-approved by the tax administration (AFIP).

An enterprise buying goods or services from such suppliers in Argentina is not allowed to book their purchase invoices until the AFIP has explicitly confirmed this pre-approval.

This is part of what TrustWeaver experts call a ‘clearance’ approach to electronic invoicing where the tax administration’s controls take place in real time rather than, as is the case in many other countries outside of Latin America, during a tax audit months or years after the actual transaction.

TrustWeaver’s new service helps Argentinian buyers to automate this validation service so they can process their invoices using modern business-to-business communication services.
