White Paper on PEPPOL and e-Procurement systems in Europe

The Public Sector is the biggest buyer in the European Union, hence the importance of public procurement. To this end, the European Commission has already taken legislative action on the matter through Directive 2014/55 /EU, which calls upon all public bodies in different countries to be prepared to use e-procurement with a common standard.

This whitepaper:

  • Discusses the status of modernizing initiatives for public procurement systems in Europe.
  • Dives into PEPPOL, one of the most widely used e-Procurement systems by European administrations.
  • Presents the benefits of e-Procurement: Compliance with current legislation, automation of document exchanges with the administration…and more.
  • Lets you find out how the different Member State administrations exchange documents with their suppliers.

EDICOM will be at the Public Affairs Ireland Annual Procurement Conference

As of April 2019, e-Invoicing is becoming mandatory for EU Public Administrations, meaning these public entities and its suppliers will have to implement an electronic data interchange (EDI) solution to be compliant with this legislation.

Ireland is also moving towards EU compliance regarding e-Invoicing and e-Procurement. This event, organized by Public Affairs Ireland (PAI) at the Croke Park (Jones’ Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 3) on November 10, is aimed at discussing about different topics related to the upcoming EU Directives regarding e-Invoicing, which come from the Digital Single Market initiative.

To this aim, the conference will focus on e-Procurement and the adoption of the European standard PEPPOL for e-Invoicing, and on the impact this new system will have on SMEs and in the cross-border procurement competition.

EDICOM will be at the conference presenting their e-Invoicing integral solution and answering all your questions about the EU requirements and compliance services. Request a meeting with EDICOM here.
