LV= selects Orbit UK for major EDI managed service

Orbit UK is a leading provider of B2B EDI solutions for the insurance sector and won a significant multi-year contract from LV= to provide a fully managed EDI solution. LV= uses EDI to exchange time and business critical insurance policies and other documents between itself and its broker partners.

Orbit UK was acquired by the Atlas Products International Group in October 2013 and now operate as a sister company to Atlas Products International Limited within the UK.

The new deal will see Orbit replace current EDI providers, with all work being migrated to the Orbit platform by the end of November 2014. As well as routing EDI and other B2C traffic, the Orbit Gateway platform provides extensive MI and reporting capabilities. Orbit is working with LV= to deliver additional functionality to further enhance the reporting function and to improve the back-end integration with the LV= systems.

Michael Lawrence, Personal Lines Director at LV= Broker:
“LV= is committed to making it easy for our broker partners to do business with us and we have invested in this technology in order to improve our digital performance. We selected Orbit because they could bring all of our EDI functionality into one system and deliver a greater level of MI reporting. We look forward to working with them and are sure that the new partnership will be a great success.”

Orbit UK Head of Business Development John Goodsell:
“This contract win confirms our market-leading position within the insurance EDI and B2B marketplace. We are delighted that LV= has chosen Orbit for this prestigious contract. Orbit UK has extensive experience in delivering great solutions to this sector, and our recent acquisition by Atlas Products International strengthens our market reach in terms of products and services for our customers. Everyone at Orbit UK and Atlas is looking forward to a long and successful partnership with LV=.”
