Egencia travels to 18 different countries with Cegedim’s help

Egencia, a major business travel agent, has acquired a taste for travelling the e-invoicing world. In January 2008, Egencia chose Cegedim’s electronic invoicing solution for a portion of its European clients and the company has now decided to expand the system to several new countries. Egencia is calling upon Cegedim’s interoperable GIS (Global Information Services) platform to replace 1.8 to 2 million paper invoices a year with signed PDF files.

Focus on the client

Egencia decided on a solution that allows to send invoices as electronically signed PDF files and lets clients view invoices over Egencia’s portal. Cegedim ensures that all invoices meet the legal requirements of the country in which they are issued and are stored for 10 years in compliant form. Thanks to Cegedim, Egencia will be able to give its clients access to invoices directly via their private reservation site, alongside their reservation history, which is unique in the market.

Mutual trust

  • Patrick Schuller, Sales and Marketing Director Cegedim:

“We are so pleased that Egencia has again entrusted us with this project to roll out their electronic invoicing. Having already partnered on a project that covered nine European countries, we are very eager to work with Egencia to tackle this new challenge, where our expertise and international reach will be a real asset.”

  • Cécile Michaud, Senior Director, Operations, Egencia EMEA:

“Cegedim’s teams were able to work with our technology and provide us with a solution that remains relevant today. Cegedim is truly an electronic invoicing expert, and we are grateful for their support. This project will bring our electronic invoicing coverage to 18 countries, and there are plans to extend that coverage to Scandinavian countries by the end of 2013.”
