The Cyber Essentials scheme focuses on an organisation’s ability to defend Internet attacks against its systems and sets out best practice protection controls. To achieve the certification, organisations are assessed against five key areas:
- Secure configuration
- Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
- Access control and administrative privilege management
- Patch management
- Malware protection
“We are delighted to receive the Cyber Essentials certification as the security of our systems is at the heart of our solutions,” said John Knights, Operations Director of Data Interchange. “This certification, alongside our ISO 27001 Information Security Management System certification, means that customers can be assured that our services are secure and robust”.
