Cegedim has announced to been chosen by ALD Automotive (operational vehicle leasing and fleet management specialist) to implement e-invoicing using its GIS (Global Information Services) solution. The effort is part of ALD Automotive’s ALD bluefleet program, which aims to reduce the company’s environmental impact.
ALD Automotive now offers EDI invoicing or signed PDF files with invoice details as attachments, depending on what clients prefer. The invoice can be archived on ALD Net, the fleet management portal, or on the Cegedim platform.
Meanwhile, involved in environmental concerns, ALD Automotive is proactively using Cegedim’s GIS (Global Information Services) platform to convince an overwhelming number of its clients to switch to electronic invoices.
ALD Automotive opts for an environmentally conscious approach
For several years now, ALD Automotive France has been working to become more socially and environmentally responsible (SER). In April 2013, it adopted ISO 26000 guidelines. In keeping with these guidelines, ALD Automotive is taking the initiative to strive for continuous SER improvement.
ALD Automotive has developed its ALD bluefleet program, dedicated to environmentally responsible mobility. The program includes a range of innovative services targeted at sustainable development and optimizing the cost of corporate mobility.
E-invoicing: better for the environment and more economical
ALD Automotive has more than 21,000 clients and issues a large volume of paper invoices. By switching to e-invoicing, the company hopes to end this practice’s environmental impact while at the same time making its service faster and easier to use.
“Our ultimate goal is two-fold: both environmental and economic. We want to reduce the number of paper invoices we send out and the resulting environmental footprint. We also want to optimize costs by cutting the client’s cost of handling incoming invoices. We think we can cut that cost by at least 50%,” explains Nicolas Mansuy, Head of e-invoicing at ALD Automotive.
Cegedim: an innovative solution, an effective partner
Cegedim was selected from among six suppliers for its interoperable and innovative solution and which also takes the complexity of the invoicing function into account.
“In addition to its GIS (Global Information Services) solution, we were particularly impressed by the Cegedim team’s dedication and how quickly they responded with a view to executing the project on time,” said Mr. Mansuy.

The appeal of a proactive approach: strong adoption
ALD Automotive planned the roll-out in several phases so that it could work closely with its clients every step of the way, ensuring strong adoption of this highly innovative system.
“We are delighted that ALD Automotive entrusted us to successfully execute this ambitious project. The client adoption rate shows the appeal of rolling out this kind of solution proactively. Our teams are working hard alongside ALD Automotive to help the company meet its targets,” underlined Christophe Rabah, Business Engineer at Cegedim.
