Beijng expands electronic invoicing pilot

The Beijing IRS revealed that the Beijing Council and the Municipal Commission of Commerce, Local Taxation Bureau, City of Industry jointly issued notice on “further promotion of electronic invoicing and some public matters” In this notice the current e-invoicing pilot areas will be expanded to a large-scale retail, telecommunications and finance, insurance and other fields.

Future taxpayers that meet the following conditions, can apply to join the e-invoicing application pilot:

  • a business license in the administrative area of ??Beijing,
  • acting according to law and in accordance with the provisions of tax registration
  • active in in large retail, telecommunications, finance, insurance.
  • have a fixed production and business establishments
  • have a relative high invoice volume
  • sound finance and invoice management system
  • a good business reputation

Pilot projects: Suning and Jingdong

Suning and Aisino Corporation signed a partnership to work together for promoting the electronic invoice in domestic business markets. Suning has become one of the selected electronic invoice pilot projects since the start in August 2012, and has now delivered 12 million electronic invoices.

Since the first electronic invoice signed in Beijing last summer, Jingdong has so far issued about 20 million electronic invoices.
