Ad van der Poel, senior vice president of its Financing Services division, has been named a 2016 Provider Pro to Know recipient by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine. Van der Poel was recognized for helping to establish a new financing paradigm for buyers and suppliers that is significantly changing the world of B2B payments—freeing up money trapped in the supply chain, improving cash flow and enabling better management of working capital.

Ad Van der Poel joined Basware in 2014 with 20 years of experience in payments and cash management. He is responsible for bringing new and innovative financial services to the market for buyers and suppliers, as well as growing the Basware Commerce Network. Most recently he worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was head of Product Management EMEA, Global Treasury Services. Prior to that, he led the product management for e-Business, Payments & Cash Management at ING Commercial Banking. He was also one of the founders of iDEAL, the Internet payment method in the Netherlands.
