Tungsten introduces flat fee tariff structure for all of the connected suppliers

The change in tariff structure is part of an effort to “remove any perceived barriers to adoption” on the suppliers’ end. Tungsten expects that once all users are on the new tariff structure, more than 80% of the suppliers that are currently using the platform no longer need to pay transaction fees to send an electronic invoice.

Survey: 20000 corporate treasurers want a global bank e-billing format

According to Euromoney’s 2014 cash management survey, over 60% of a record 28,000 treasury professionals from non-financial corporates and financial institutions want to see the universal use of a common electronic bank billing standard, with Asia Pacific based treasurers the highest by region among them at 68%. By comparison, 50% of Europe based treasury professionals want it.??

PIAC estimated the total is “conservatively” between $495 million and $734 million, plus taxes. Some $102 million in fees are being paid by low-income Canadians and seniors who don’t have Internet access at home or don’t use computers!
PIAC was pleased when the federal government pledged to ban the practice of charging for paper bills, first in its throne speech last October and then again this February in releasing its budget.
