Kofax announces Kofax MarkView for Accounts Payable 8.0

MarkView for Accounts Payable 8.0, is claimed to be the first fully secure mobile solution for the automated capture and processing of accounts payable (AP) information. According to Kofax, MarkView 8.0 significantly accelerates processes and optimizes cash management by enabling customers to use the cameras in mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to capture, view, manage and approve information from receipts and invoices from anywhere, at any time, within a secure chain-of-custody that includes AP processes and workflows.

Billtrust of Hamilton acquires Best Practice Systems

Billtrust has acquired Best Practice Systems a billing company with expertise and infrastructure in voice and mobile technologies. The acquisition represents Billtrust’s second overall, and first since landing a $25 million investment in November from Bain Capital Ventures. Bain Capital ventures is a subsidiary of the company co-founded by 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Billtrust now has 165 employees, up from 65 in 2011. Billtrust had an estimated $40 to $50 million in revenue last year for a fifth-straight year of 50 percent growth, Rose said.

Belgian federal government launches website to encourage e-invoicing

The Belgian federal government has launched the website www.efactuur.belgium.be (Dutch – French) to encourage e-invoicing.

Electronic invoices and paper invoices have been considered equivalent in Belgium since 1 January 2013. This means you can create, send, receive and store invoices electronically. Electronic invoicing is not only for big companies: small companies and self-employed people can use it too.

We love this one: T-Mobile Poland awards prizes in e-invoice competition

T-Mobile Poland is encouraging its customers to switch from paper to electronic invoices. Currently some 100,000 customers use e-invoices, and T-Mobile can thus save 170 tons of paper. In 2012, from February until the end of the year, T-Mobile organized a competition promoting electronic invoices.

In eleven rounds of the competition, 29 customers were awarded with prizes. There were a staggering 200,000 participants in the competition.

Trubiquity joins the German Verband elektronische Rechnung (VeR)

Trubiquity is the newest member of the E-Invoicing Alliance Germany (VeR Verband elektronische Rechnung e.V.). The VeR draws on the expertise of its membership consisting of solution providers for electronic invoice exchange as well as consulting firms and companies using e-invoicing in business communications.

Trubiquity joins the E-Invoicing Alliance Germany (VeR) to drive standardisation, security and simplification of electronic invoice exchange in business-to-business communications.

InvoiceASAP and Hybrid Paytech partner up for e-invoicing services

InvoiceASAP – a US provider of integrated invoicing – is partnering with Hybrid Paytech – mobile payment services provider. Together they are going to provide mobile business services including mobile payments, invoicing and point-of-sale (POS).

These services should allow businesses to use existing merchant accounts together with mobile invoicing and POS applications, integrated with accounting software.
More concrete, with Hybrid’s payment platforms with invoiceASAP’s mobile applications users can now process credit card payments for invoices and retail sales.

The initial rollout of the joint service is expected for the US market in Q1 2013 and worldwide by the end of Q2 2013.
