Chile was one of the first movers in electronic invoicing and they have one of the more complex environments. The Chilean electronic invoicing model combines elements of the batch-oriented folio scheme used in the legacy Mexican CFD model along with the real-time communication as found in Brazil and Argentina.

Uruguay and Chile join EDICOM’s international e-invoicing platform

Edicom’s expansion in the American continent continues, extending their technical e-billing platform with the development of technical and legal solutions in line with Uruguayan and Chilean government requirements.
Their international electronic billing platform is now adapted to the scheme set forth by the Uruguayan DGI (General Tax Directorate). And the EDICOM international electronic invoicing platform has now been implemented with specific services for the generation, transmission and receipt of the DTE (Electronic Tax Document) from Chile.

China rolls out tighter rules for e-invoicing [receipts]

China will introduce more regulations for its online invoice management system in a bid to standardize the industry and curb tax evasion. China’s online invoice management measures will take effect on April 1, 2013. The new measures noted if the issuer of the invoice needs to change the details of the invoice, they must submit a written notice to the tax authorities which will then check the information before allowing the change.

Ecuador starts with mandatory e-invoicing as from 2014
