Pagero sets up offices in Rome to meet the increased market demand in Italy

Pagero sets up offices in Rome to meet the increased market demand in Italy and as yet another step in our ongoing internationalization process. With a local presence they are also able to offer improved support to their local customers.

Italy is the third largest economy in the Eurozone and the eight largest in the world. The country is considered to be one of the most industrialized countries in the world and is world leading in trade and export.

Fredrik Rosenqvist, VP Partner & Alliances, Pagero:
“With legal requirements for e-invoices in place since 2014 and over 6 million registered companies, this market obviously has a lot of potential. With the strong bonds that tie the Italian and Nordic economies together, the conditions are very favorable for exporting our services and solutions to Italy.”

Since June 2014, it is mandatory for all suppliers to government and municipalities to send electronic invoices to them. In March 2015, the requirement was broadened to include all units in the Italian public sector.

All our customers are able to meet this legal requirement thanks to our cooperation with Sogei, which is the sole supplier of IT-services to the Italian MEF (Ministry of Economy and Finance). The cooperation with Sogei means that Pagero is an authorized supplier of e-invoice services in Italy.

The Italian office is managed by Giuseppe De Pascale, who has twenty years of experience in the IT-business and also has experience of working with the Nordic countries from his position in the board of directors of Italchamber, the Finnish-Italian Chamber of Commerce located in Helsinki, Finland:

“As the manager of Pagero’s Italian office my goal will of course be to promote the use of e-invoicing generally in Italy. “The effect of the legislation in Italy is that there has been a great increase of interest in investing in e-invoice solutions B2B. I think this is definitely the right way to go to also make the private business sector in Italy more efficient.”

Please contact Guiseppe De Pascale if you have any questions related to Pagero’s activities in Italy!
