Bartlomiej Wojtowicz, Comarch EDI: “Directive 2014/55/EU has various development stages within Europe”
Although the Directive 2014/55/EU mandates all EU public administrations e-invoicing as of 27 November 2018, the level of preparation across Europe differs significantly.
A more detailed check of e-invoicing will be conducted by legal experts at the Business Breakfast organized by IT provider Comarch. The free event will take place on October 25, 2016, at BMW Welt in Munich.
the IT service provider of METRO GROUP has chosen Comarch EDI. During the project the entire EDI communication of 234 hypermarkets and more than 20,000 distributors in 24 countries has been migrated onto the global platform of Comarch EDI.
Belgium and Spain are the next countries where Comarch will start cooperating in the implementation and promotion of GS1 standards and solutions to optimize business processes in enterprises by means of electronic data interchange in accordance with the applicable standards.
E-invoicing is not implemented mainly because current processes are just fine. The biggest challenges include partners on-boarding and integration, multinational legal compliance, internal business processes and lack of knowledge related to profits from such an implementation. Let’s consider it in detail.
Previously, Gartner’s report on Customer Experience named Comarch as a “vendor to watch”. This time another fast growing solution, Comarch EDI (Electronical Data Interchange), was distinguished. The analysts emphasized also geographical expansion of Comarch in Western Europe.
By the beginning of year 2015, there were still four Autonomous Communities that did not comply with all the requirements of this law. Either they were not yet connected to the General State Administration (FACe) or to other connectors.
Comarch’s unique, transactional-based approach to engagement not only collects customer data from emerging channels such as social and mobile, but it also converts that data into purchases – providing comprehensive metrics throughout the process.
Comarch EDI e-Invoicing ensures compliance of the exchange of e-invoices in accordance with the law. Comarch is a member EESPA (European e-Invoicing Service Providers Association) and actively participates in the National Multilateral Forum for Electronic Invoicing.
