Tieto wins Financial-i award for the SWIFT e-invoicing solutions

Tieto + Nordea + Bottomline win the Financial-i 2011 Innovation Award for their SWIFT e-Invoicing solution.

In a world vested with awards (we are a co-culprit), Tieto together with Bottomline and Nordea Bank won the joint award for their SWIFT e-invoicing solution.

The Financial-i award recognises Bottomline, Tieto and Nordea for using the global SWIFT Network for the transmission of e-invoices.

To achieve this a collaboration between the joint winners at a technical and business level was necessary. The SWIFT e-invoicing project started back in May 2011 and has gone from a concept to a live solution in that time.

“We consider all our customers to be unique – the way they are organized, to what degree their processes have been centralized, and how their IT infrastructures have been designed. We go the extra mile to understand our customers’ circumstances and how our services can be customized to meet their specific needs.”

  1. This was a great collaborative effort between Bottomline, Tieto & Nordea Bank. The Bottomline customer is now able to submit e-Invoice automatically from JD Edwards into the SWIFT network to any SWIFT enabled Tieto or Nordea Bank portal client. This is without risk or manual intervention. Between providers we are using the ISO20022 standard and the XML standard business header, yet the customers at both ends have seen no change to their standard business processes.

This solution addresses cross border invoicing and is true 4-corner e-Invoicing. For more information about how other providers or corporate can start using SWIFT for secure and global e-Invoicing visit the http://www.bottomline.co.uk or Tieto websites.
